Erik Moen, PT, CSCS Joins Kirkland Physical Therapy


March 10, 2006 – Kirkland, Washington – Kirkland Physical Therapy is pleased to announce the hiring of Erik Moen, PT, CSCS as a physical therapist at their Kirkland location near Evergreen Medical Center. Moen will be treating and rehabilitating post surgical conditions, overuse injuries and performing sports conditioning. Additionally, he will be responsible for treatment and rehabilitation of bicycling-relating injuries, pain-syndromes and providing Medical Bicycle Retrofits.

Moen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Research from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington.

Moen is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association, USA Cycling and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Moen has served as Delegate to American Physical Therapy Associates House of Delegates, member of APTA Task Force on Elections and Governance. He has several published pieces in the field of Health Physics regarding tissue microdosimetry technique, depleted uranium, and high-flyer dosimetry.

Moen is a nationally recognized expert for his expertise with bicycling biomechanics, performance and injury intervention and prevention. He is a regularly invited speaker/educator on the subject of bicycling.  Recent/current venues have included Physical Therapy-Washington Association, Colorado-APTA, Oregon Physical Therapy Association, IDEA, International Fitness Conference, USCF, Seattle Bicycle Expo, South Sound Sports Medicine Conference.

Moen has treated bicyclists for over thirteen years working as a coach and physical therapist. He has practiced Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in the Seattle area for more than 10 years. Moen also has special interests in coaching (bicycle, alpine skiing and soccer), bicycle racing (all types) and training of athletes.
